Welcome To Our Website

GtoG Collection, which means Get Together Girls, is a project started inside the Anita Youth House in Ngong Town, 20 Km south of Nairobi. The inspiration behind this project has come out after years of reflections on how to let ex-street young African girls become self-reliant after the process of rehabilitation and education.

An Italian lady, Grazia Orsolato, who met for the first time in 2002 the reality of Anita’s Home Project through the Italian Ngo AMANI (www.amaniforafrica.org), felt it was necessary to involve the girls to learn practical skills in order to give them job opportunities. The friendship with Roberta Vincenzi, an Italian stylist (www.selfmade.it), brought the official start of the project on 25th February 2010.

The girls are now designing and producing new fashionable clothes for girls and ladies both for the Kenyan and global market. All the products are handmade, they cover all the sizes and are made of different kind of material, not only the African one.

The aim is to try and improve the quality of living of these girls and indirectly also the one of their families. It will also be important to involve the other girls of the center to learn the skills and the surrounding community. The spirit of the project is the one of opening chances in different ways.
